Los 25 mejores libros de ciencia

La revista Discover ha publicado, en su edición de diciembre de 2006, una lista con los 25 mejores libros de ciencia de todos los tiempos. Los libros escogidos y ordenados comenzando por el mejor de todos ellos, según el criterio de la revista, son los que figuran en la lista que copio bajo esta nota. Durante una semana, los lectores de la revista han podido votar los libros propuestos y sugerir algunos más, no incluidos en la lista original. De esta manera, se ha generado una segunda lista, la de los lectores, en la cual hay coincidencias en cuanto a los libros que deben figurar en los primeros puestos del ranking. No ocurre así en los siguientes. El origen de las especies de Charles Darwin y Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica de Isaac Newton han sido los más populares entre los 800 visitantes de la página que emitieron su voto.
